Why Navien Boiler?

• The modern Navien NPN series is the first and only non-condensing tankless water heater. It offers a sturdy stainless-steel device, a selection of indoor or poor performance in one unit, and a licensed chrome steel burner style, all with Navien’s devotion to advanced engineering, elegant style, and exceptional product support.

• Navien NPE-A and NPE-S systems replace inefficient tank heaters, saving water, natural gas, and power with added advantages of an unlimited supply of hot water, cheaper maintenance expenses, and enduring product lifetime. You can cascade up to 16 units in back-to-back or side-by-side arrangements. The Ready-Link Manifold System gives everything installer requirements for side-by-side wall-mounted utilizations, side-by-side floor-mounted rack utilization, or floor-mounted back-to-back utilizations.

• Navien NFC and NCB-E are the best options for high-efficiency condensing compound boilers with the capacity to provide both heat and residential hot water for bigger houses  enough hydronic heat for the entire home, plus hot water to run up to 3 baths, and a dishwasher, all at the same time.

These are feature-rich boilers. Here’s an overview of the most fundamental features.

  • Tankless design: These systems are tankless with sufficient efficiency and capacity to produce hot water on demand when correctly sized.
  • Condensing technology: All three Navien boiler series utilize condensing technology. It enhances efficiency by using heat in combustion exhaust gases to preheat water coming into the system.
  • Stainless steel: The combustion of natural gas and propane produces an acidic byproduct. Stainless steel is a lot more resistant to corrosion from carbonic acid than steel.
  • Zoned systems: NFB and NHB boilers assist up to 3 zones.
  • Turn-down: You can tune these boilers only to produce the heat you demand. It is named the turn-down ratio (TDR). The TDRs are 15:1 for the NHB Series, 10:1 for the NFB Series, 6:1 for heating, and 10:1 for water on the NCB-E Series. For instance, a 150 MBH boiler with a 10:1 TDR can be set to produce heat from 150 MBH to 15 MBH.
  • Cascading: For large applications, the NFB and NHB Series can be installed and linked to up to 16 systems total with up to 8 systems on a shared vent.
  • Wi-fi: All systems have equipped for Navien NaviLink wi-fi remote monitoring and control.

Simple Advice toward Maintaining Your Navien System

Some maintenance procedures should be performed consistently, to keep Navien systems running at top performance, and to extend their durability. The following are a few simple actions you can take to ensure you are making the most out of your Navien system.

Note: The frequency of the maintenance will differ based on the installation, location, utilization, and performance of the system.

Clean the inlet water protection
All Navien tankless water heaters have water protection on the cold water inlet, and the NPE-Advanced types have further protection on the recirculation inlet. Navien combi-boilers have inlet water protection on the DHW cold-water connection, along with protection between the heating supplies and return connections. Navien NHB boilers have protection on the return connection.

Clean the air filter
All Navien systems (water heaters, combi-boilers, and boilers) have inlet air screens inside the cabinet just below the air intake collar to block debris from being pulled into the blower, burner, and heat exchanger arrangement.

Clean the condensate trap
The condensate trap is at the base of the system. Take off the metal wire clip under the base of the cabinet and pull the cup out of the base of the trap to clean it. When you replace the trap, assure that the o-ring is rightly in place.

Flush waterways
On water heaters and the DHW side of the combi-boilers, flushing has done by employing a pump to circulate a flush solution into the heat exchangers. Boiler water quality must be verified, and heat exchangers must be flushed as required.
Verify performance, including gas pressure, when putting the system back into service.
